Commissions
There is something quietly significant about commissioning a painting for your home. People often come to me to mark a moment: a milestone birthday, an anniversary, the birth of a child, a new home, a renovation finished, an inheritance they want to honour. A commissioned painting becomes the way the moment is remembered, on a wall, every day, for years to come.
I take a small number of commissions each year, alongside my own work, so I can give each one proper attention.
How it works
Step one. You get in touch.
Use the form below, or get in touch via the contact page. Tell me a little about what you have in mind. The more I know early, the more useful my first reply will be.
What helps me most at this stage:
- A photo of the room or wall the painting is for
- Rough wall dimensions, so I can recommend a size that suits the space
- Any palette or colour preferences you already know
- The story behind the commission, what it is for, what you would like it to hold
- A timeline, if there is one (a birthday, an anniversary, a move)
Step two. We talk it through.
I will reply within two to three business days with my thoughts, a recommended size, and a quote. If it feels right, we keep going. If it does not, no obligation either way.
Step three. Deposit and start.
Once we have agreed on size, palette and timeline, a 50% deposit confirms the commission. I order the canvas, get the colours ready, and begin.
Step four. Painting.
Most commissions take around two months to paint, depending on size and complexity. I will share progress with you along the way, including images at key stages, so you can feel the painting coming together.
Step five. Final approval and delivery.
When the painting is finished, I send final photographs for your approval. Once you are happy, the final 50% is settled and the painting goes to be framed. Framing and delivery take a further three to four weeks, so allow around three months from deposit to your door. I arrange delivery anywhere in Australia.
Framed Pricing
All commission prices are AUD and include framing in either a white float frame or a natural timber float frame. Unframed pricing is available on request. They look so much better framed, like a present with a bow. Unframed pricing is available on request.

A recent commission
A family in country New South Wales asked me to paint a large floral for a new home in a modern Hamptons style. She knew the wall, she knew the feeling she wanted in the room, and she knew the colours she had to work with: blues, greens, the soft pinks already moving through the house. We talked through scale and palette, and the painting that came out of it now anchors the room it was made for, and brings the family joy each time they walk into the room.
